FAE 2026, Festival de Arquitectura en Español

From September 2–4, 2026, the eighth edition of the Festival of Architecture in Spanish (FAE), will bring together architects from Mexico, Belgium, Portugal, Argentina, Spain, and Colombia across three landmark works of Mexican architecture in Mexico City and the State of Mexico.

Organized by the Instituto Español de Arquitectura (IESARQ), FAE proposes an in-situ format in which architecture is not simply the backdrop for the program, but an active part of the experience. Each day begins with the building itself—its history, materiality, and ways of being inhabited—and continues through lectures, conversations, guided architectural tours, portfolio reviews, and informal gatherings.
