Apple has revealed a regional difference in the modem used by the iPhone 18 Pro Max. The company’s updated specifications indicate that the device uses its C2 cellular modem globally, except in the US, where reports point to a Qualcomm modem instead. The change does not affect the iPhone 18 Pro, which uses the C2 worldwide. The exact Qualcomm modem remains unknown, although the Snapdragon X85 is considered the likely candidate. Apple has not explained why the US model uses different hardware.
