SteelSeries released the Arctis Nova Pro Omni earlier in May. It is the successor to the venerable Arctis Nova Pro that topped our best gaming headset chart for years. It’s also SteelSeries’ highest end headset outside of the Arctis Elite. It carries over all of the trademark features of the Nova Pro, including the stellar sound quality and hours-long comfort, hot-swappable battery system, active noise cancelation, and a base station with built-in GameDAC, OLED display and physical volume knob. It’s also just as durable thanks to the flexible steel core headband construction.

But let’s get into the improvements that make the Arcis Pro Omni a clear upgrade over its predecessor. The most notable feature is its “OmniPlay” ability. No longer do you have to buy a specific model for Xbox or PlayStation. Every Nova Pro Omni is cross compatible with the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PC, Switch, and more. You can also connect to up to four separate sources simultaneously via two USB inputs, wireless Bluetooth, and line-in (its successor maxed out at two). Other improvements include an improved GameDAC with LC3+ codec that supports 96kHz/24Bit high-res audio processing and mobile app compatibility.

IGN’s Michael Higham gave the Arctis Nova Pro Omni a glowing review. He wrote that “A $400 price tag is tough to swallow no matter which way you cut it. Considering what the Arctis Nova Pro Omni offers relative to the current competition, however, it makes one of the strongest cases to splurge for a high-end gaming headset if you haven’t already.”

The Aerox 3 is a very good ultra-light gaming mouse

The SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gen 2 is an ultralight gaming mouse that weighs in at just 68 grams. It has a perforated shell to reduce the weight, mechanical switch keys rated at 80 million clicks, and an AQUABARRIER hydrophobic coating applied to the interior circuitry for added durability. The Aerox 3 connects wirelessly via either a 2.4GHz dongle or Bluetooth. You’ll want to stick with the dongle to take advantage of the lower latency. Pair that with 4K wireless polling and a TRUEMOVE 26,000 DPI sensor with 400 IPS speed and 40G acceleration and the Aerox 3 will certainly not be the limiting factor to your gaming performance.
