Asian Games: Why Hangzhou silver medallist Jyothi Yarraji missed 100m hurdles race

India faced disappointment as Jyothi Yarraji did not start in the women’s 100m hurdles due to pain. Yarraji, who has a history of knee issues, was included in the squad after fitness clearance. This setback followed her recent return from an ACL surgery performed in July 2025. However, Nandhini Kongan advanced to the hurdles final, keeping some hopes alive for India.
