Neeru Dhanda: From tin cans and a borrowed gun to WC history and Asian Games gold

Neeru Dhanda’s journey from watching cousin Lakshay Sheoran win Asian Games silver to becoming an Asian Games champion herself is a story of family inspiration, persistence and breakthrough. The 26-year-old shooter won women’s trap gold with a record 28/30, becoming India’s first individual Asian Games women’s trap gold medallist. From shooting tin cans and using Sheoran’s gun to Army training, World Cup glory and continental success, Dhanda has completed a remarkable rise.
