HSBC has named its Hong Kong dollar-pegged stablecoin RedCoin ahead of its expected launch in the second half of 2026. The token has not yet been issued and will initially be available only through PayMe and the HSBC HK mobile app. Corporate and institutional applications are planned for later phases, although HSBC has not provided a timeline.
