Apple had reportedly considered cutting around 5,000 AppleCare support jobs as it explores greater use of AI across customer service. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman also reports that CEO John Ternus is pushing for a leaner organisation, fewer management layers and a faster product development cycle. Apple is considering changes to its usual launch schedule and has already made cuts across several teams. The company is also reviewing spending, staffing and marketing plans for 2027 while seeking additional revenue from its existing products and services.
