The BMW F 450 R is built on the same platform as the F 450 GS, replacing the discontinued G 310 R as the entry point into BMW Motorrad’s roadster lineup. Its design draws from the S 1000 R, with sharp bodywork and a bracket-shaped LED daytime running light. The 420cc parallel-twin is shared with the F 450 GS and produces 48hp at 8,750rpm and 43Nm at 6,750rpm.
All variants get a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, heated grips, full LED lighting and a USB-C port. Braking is handled by a 310mm front disc with a Brembo four-piston monobloc caliper. Four variants are on offer – Base, Exclusive, M Sport and M Sport with Innovation Package. The range-topping model adds the Easy Ride Clutch, which enables clutchless pull-aways and gear changes when combined with the standard bidirectional quickshifter.
