Honda Elevate facelift

The Honda Elevate facelift has launched in India, with prices starting at Rs 11.80 lakh (ex-showroom). This is the first major update to the midsize SUV, which was introduced in 2023. The new Elevate brings exterior and interior design changes, along with major feature additions. Pre-bookings for the Elevate facelift started on October 1.

  1. Gets new lighting signatures and grille on the outside
  2. Offers a new 360-degree camera and ventilated seats at the front and rear
  3. Retains the tried-and-tested 1.5-litre petrol engine with MT and CVT gearboxes

Here’s a look at the full price list of the new Elevate:

Honda Elevate price (ex-showroom)
Variant Petrol-MT Petrol-CVT
SV Rs 11.80 lakh –
V Rs 12.29 lakh Rs 13.79 lakh
VX Rs 13.93 lakh Rs 15.39 lakh
ZX Rs 15.39 lakh Rs 16.89 lakh
ZX+ Rs 16.80 lakh Rs 18.30 lakh
ZX+ Black Rs 16.90 lakh Rs 18.40 lakh

The Elevate is available in five core trims, namely SV, V, VX, ZX and ZX+, the last of which is new and also available in a Black Edition. Notably, the Elevate’s starting price is the same, but it now costs Rs 1.94 lakh more at the top end.

Honda Elevate facelift exterior design

On the outside, the changes are primarily to the lighting signatures. It gets a new segmented LED DRL strip placed above the grille, which bridges the unchanged LED headlights. The grille itself has been revised with a new mesh and gloss-black finish, and the fog lamp housings are now finished in body colour. Also, the Honda logo has moved from the grille to the leading edge of the bonnet.

At the back, a new LED light bar connects the tail-lamps, but overall, the design remains very familiar. Even the alloy wheels have been carried forward unchanged. Honda has added a new colour option, though. It’s called Nordic Forest Pearl and is available in both monotone and dual-tone options. The body cladding around the car also gets a new gloss-black finish as opposed to the matte finish on the outgoing car.

Honda Elevate facelift interior and features

There are more notable changes on the inside, primarily on the equipment front. The biggest addition is a segment-first ventilation function for the rear seats, while both front seats are now powered and ventilated. Honda has also added a new 360-degree camera and capacitive-touch rear LED reading lamps, while the CVT variants also exclusively get an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function.

The dashboard has been slightly tweaked with more white leatherette padding and stitching, replacing the faux wood trim. Ambient lights, earlier a dealer-level fitment, are now offered from the factory on higher trims. On the safety front, Honda has added front parking sensors, rear disc brakes and adaptive cruise control with low-speed follow function (CVT only) for the Honda Sensing ADAS suite. Other features such as the 10.25-inch infotainment screen, the semi-digital instrument cluster, single-pane sunroof, lane-watch camera, 6 airbags and wireless charger and phone connectivity have been carried over, too.

Honda Elevate facelift improved sound insulation

One of the biggest criticisms of the outgoing Elevate was its high NVH levels inside the cabin. Honda claims to have resolved this issue with more sound-deadening material on the facelift, improving the cabin experience, although this is something we will be able to confirm once we test the car.

Honda Elevate facelift powertrain and specs

The new Elevate carries over its predecessor’s 1.5-litre four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces peak outputs of 121hp and 145Nm. The engine continues to be offered with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT gearbox. Honda claims a mileage of 15.31kpl for the manual variant and 16.61kpl for the CVT. However, the Elevate still does not get the 1.5-litre strong-hybrid powertrain offered on the City.

As before, the Honda Elevate will continue to compete against the likes of the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushaq, Maruti Grand Vitara and the rest of the midsize SUV pack.
