The US Pokémon Centre website has updated its listing page for the in-demand Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Box (ETB) to say “Invite-Only,” suggesting a new Wave Crash of restocks could be about to land for this hot collector’s item.
Released in February 2026, Ascended Heroes is one of the most popular sets ever, featuring a star-studded lineup of Trainer’s Pokémon and new Mega Evolution ex cards, all with big, bold artwork and even bigger attacks.
My personal favourite, the James Turner-illustrated Pikachu ex (277/217), is just one of many fantastic pulls you can get from this set. Famous for its Resolute Heart ability—this little electric mouse refuses to go down, sticking around with just 10 HP when the going gets tough.
So, what’s inside this coveted Pokémon Center exclusive ETB? Here’s the rundown:
• 11 Mega Evolution—Ascended Heroes booster packs (each with 10 cards, 1 Basic Energy, and a TCG Live code)
• 2 full-art foil promo cards featuring N’s Zekrom (one stamped with the Pokémon Center logo)
• 65 card sleeves, 40 Energy cards, 6 damage-counter dice, a competition-legal coin-flip die, and a plastic coin
• A player’s guide, a code for Pokémon TCG Live, and a box with 6 dividers to keep your new hoard organized
But here’s the catch: you’ll need a golden ticket (well, an email invitation) to buy one from this latest wave. The Invite Only program—Pokémon Centre’s answer to bots and scalpers—lets selected newsletter subscribers in the US, Canada, and the UK access popular items before the rest of the world.
To sign up, you’ll need to subscribe to their newsletter. If you get picked, you’ll receive a unique, single-use invitation link, and you’ll need to log in (or sign up) with the email address that got the invite.
A few things to keep in mind: not all subscribers will get an invite, and getting one doesn’t guarantee future access or even product availability—supplies are limited, and it’s strictly first-come, first-served. Sharing links is a no-go, and using multiple accounts or browsers could put your invite in jeopardy.
Why a Restock of Ascended Heroes Matters More Than You’d Think
It’s not just the fact this Pokémon TCG product is back on shelves, though that is great to see. Ascended Heroes unleashed absolute chaos on the secondary market when it launched back in February, which makes programs like this Invite-Only system a welcome change.
When the expansion originally debuted, including over 290 cards as one of the largest English Pokémon TCG expansions ever released, it triggered an unprecedented pricing crisis across the Pokémon TCG landscape. Driven by a combination of high-value chase cards—such as the staggering Mega Gengar ex Special Illustration Rare trading for well over $1,000—and aggressive investor speculation, sealed cases and individual ETBs skyrocketed far beyond normal retail trajectories.
According to the latest TCGplayer data, sealed Ascended Heroes ETB Cases were going for as high as $1,762.61. Sure, you get 10 ETBs, but for Trainers doing the math at home, that places individual ETBs just over $176 – more than triple their retail value just months after launch.
This frenzy and price volatility distorted the broader TCG economy, leading to the madness that we all know nowadays. Prices spiked all over the place, products sold out, and violence followed.
This is precisely why targeted restocks and invite-only gates are so critical to keep the Pokémon TCG market stable. While past attempts to control chaos, like the rolling print with Prismatic Evolutions, prove that heavy supply injections can lower prices, at least for a bit. But it also shows that prices can rebound the moment a reprint wave ends.
This invite-only distribution from the Pokémon Centre is a nice way to route stock directly into the hands of genuine fans and collectors, rather than letting automated bot farms scoop up entire inventories in milliseconds.
If you, like me, are getting pretty tired of inflated aftermarket prices, these Pokémon Centre restricted restock waves are a vital lifeline back to fair-market collecting. Make sure you get your invitations by signing up for their newsletter, and keep your eyes peeled for your invite!
For those lucky enough to score an invitation, don’t be a Slowpoke! These boxes are expected to fly off the digital shelves. If you miss out, keep an eye on your inbox—your next chance to catch ‘em all might be one newsletter away.
