Intel-powered Googlebooks can reportedly run 96.6 percent of the more than 10,000 most-used Android apps. The laptops use a translation layer to run apps designed for Arm processors, converting their code into instructions Intel chips can handle. Google says the system helps demanding apps run smoothly. Most of the apps that do not work have compatibility issues with large-screen devices, while some require hardware such as a gyroscope.
