The Volkswagen ID Tiguan is set to go on sale globally in 2027 as the replacement to the ID 4 and ID 5 electric SUVs, and will be sold alongside the combustion-powered Tiguan. Based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB+ platform, the ID Tiguan adopts the carmaker’s Pure Positive design language. Under the skin, the electric SUV offers 58kWh LFP and 77kWh NMC battery options, both of which are paired with a rear motor as standard; the larger battery can be had with a dual-motor AWD setup too. Power output is 190hp for the 58kWh battery, and up to 299hp for the 77kWh unit. WLTP range is claimed at up to 600km, depending on the battery option.
