Corning Opens Pune Plant to Manufacture Optical Connectivity Products for Data Centres

Corning on Tuesday announced that its new manufacturing facility is now operational in Maharashtra’s Pune. The US-based company, which is known for supplying protective glass covers for flagship and mid-range smartphones, claims that its new manufacturing plant will help it serve the needs of the region better. Further, the company said that it will supply its optical connectivity products, such as optical fibre, outdoor and indoor cables, fibre optic closures, and indoor and outdoor cable assemblies, for data centres and telecommunications network applications.
