PhonePe has introduced UPI 123Pay for feature phones, allowing users to make digital payments without an internet connection. The SMS-based service supports transfers through mobile numbers and UPI IDs, along with QR payments on compatible camera-equipped phones. It also offers bank balance and transaction history features, while bill payments, recharges and Aadhaar-based registration are planned. The service is currently available on selected HMD, Nokia, Lava and Itel feature phones, with PhonePe set to add support for more models.
