WhatsApp could soon allow users to bring compatible third-party agents into the messaging platform. A new Agents section reportedly lets users configure services, with support for up to five agents and API keys used to establish their connections. Each service would have a separate conversation and access only to messages shared there. However, these chats are not expected to have end-to-end encryption, as messages would be handled through a Meta service for the agent developer. The feature is currently reaching a limited number of Android users.
