Germany’s Finance Ministry has reportedly prepared a draft bill to bring cryptocurrency gains under the country’s 25 percent capital income tax from 2028. The proposal would remove the current tax advantage for crypto held for more than a year, while retaining the personal allowance. The ministry expects the changes to generate an additional €350 million in revenue.
