Unicoin has sued Uniswap Labs in a New York federal court, seeking a declaration that its UNICOIN trademark does not infringe Uniswap’s marks. It is also seeking cancellation of Uniswap’s federal UNI trademark registration, arguing that the term is generic or descriptive. The dispute follows months of correspondence over Unicoin’s use of the name and related domains.
