Nvidia’s Isaac ROS 5.0 brings AI agents into open-source robotics development through reusable skills and agent-ready documentation. The release includes tools for robot setup, manipulation and model customisation, along with new capabilities for FoundationStereo and FoundationPose. Nvidia has also added support for ROS Lyrical and Ubuntu 24.04, plus a standard data-handling interface for different computing hardware. The latest version supports Nvidia’s Jetson Orin Nano and Jetson Thor platforms, allowing developers to take robotics applications from development to deployment.
