‘No one will marry her’: Baranica defies taunts to make pole vault history at Asiad

Baranica Elangovan’s remarkable achievement at the Asian Games saw her clinch the bronze medal in pole vault, defying numerous hurdles and injuries along the way. After undergoing ACL surgery in 2019 and shifting her focus from long jump to pole vault, her success stands as a historic milestone for India. With heartfelt gratitude towards her parents and coach, Elangovan hopes to inspire the next generation of Indian pole vaulters.
