The Skoda Slavia facelift is slated to launch on October 6, 2026. Production of the midsize sedan has commenced at Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s facility in Chakan, Pune, and pre-bookings are underway for Rs 15,000.

What’s changed with the Slavia facelift?

Skoda has already revealed the Slavia facelift ahead of its launch. It looks sharper than the current model thanks to revisions to the headlamps and tail-lamps, restyled bumpers and sportier-looking 16-inch alloy wheels. The tail-lamps now come with sequential turn indicators. The facelift also gets new paint options, namely Arctic Silver and Cappuccino beige.

Inside, the Slavia facelift largely retains the current model’s layout. However, it gets a new 10.1-inch infotainment screen with updated graphics instead of a 10-inch unit. Similarly, a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display replaces the 8-inch unit. Features include a single-pane sunroof, a 360-degree camera, powered and ventilated front seats, a rear-seat massager and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Additionally, Skoda has improved AC performance by replacing the fixed-geometry AC compressor with a variable-geometry unit.

Under the hood, the Slavia facelift retains the 115hp/178Nm 1.0-litre and 150hp/250Nm 1.5-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engines from the current model. The 1.0-litre mill is paired with a 6-speed manual or a new 8-speed automatic that replaces the 6-speed unit on the current version. The 1.5-litre engine comes mated exclusively to a 7-speed DCT.

The Slavia facelift is expected to be priced at a premium over the current model, which ranges from Rs 9.99 lakh to Rs 18.29 lakh. The Slavia will continue to lock horns with the Honda City (Rs 11.99 lakh to Rs 21.44 lakh), Hyundai Verna (Rs 10.99 lakh to Rs 18.31 lakh) and Volkswagen Virtus (Rs 10.79 lakh to Rs 19.19 lakh).
