Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG launched at Rs 9.99 lakh

The Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG has been launched at a starting price of Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Bookings and deliveries for the CNG SUV will start on October 20, 2026. The 3XO CNG will be sold alongside the turbo-petrol, diesel and electric versions of the compact SUV.

Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG powertrain specs

Mahindra is offering the option of a CNG kit with the 1.2-litre MPFI (multi-point fuel injection) turbo-petrol engine. In both petrol and CNG modes, peak output is 111hp and 200Nm. This has been made possible by optimised turbocharger calibration and ECU mapping, says Mahindra. The system can automatically switch to petrol mode when CNG runs low. Transmission duties are handled by a 6-speed manual gearbox, and the claimed mileage is 24.7km/kg.

To maximise boot space, the XUV 3XO CNG gets a dual-tank setup. Its boot capacity is 270 litres, and the spare wheel is mounted under the body.

Mahindra XUV 3XO CNG interior and features

The CNG version does not receive any changes to the interior design or layout. Depending on the trim, features such as a panoramic sunroof, black leatherette seats, a driver’s display and a touchscreen, each measuring 10.25 inches, along with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Dolby Atmos and more are offered.

Six airbags, electronic stability control and Isofix child-seat mounts are standard safety features.

Like the interior, the SUV’s exterior remains unchanged; a ‘ZNG’ badge on the tailgate identifies the CNG version. Depending on the trim, it gets features such as 16-inch alloy wheels, a body-coloured grille, LED projector headlamps and daytime running lamps (DRLs), as well as connected LED tail-lights, among others.

The XUV 3XO CNG will take on rivals such as the Maruti Brezza (Rs 9.4 lakh-11.6 lakh) and Tata Nexon (Rs 8.35 lakh-13.42 lakh), which offer the choice of a factory-fitted CNG kit.
