Meanwhile, Shaina Manimuthu’s journey ended in the girls’ singles quarter-finals with a defeat to Yi Qing Yin. In women’s doubles action, Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand surged into the quarter-finals with a strong performance, while Kidambi Srikanth and Ashmita Chaliha faced elimination in their matches.
