WhatsApp’s upcoming Android settings redesign introduces rounded containers that group related options together, replacing the existing flat list. The interface was spotted in beta version 2.26.43.3 on the Google Play Store. The new layout uses Google’s Material Design 3 Expressive segmented list style, with corner shapes that vary according to each item’s position within a group. The redesign is expected to extend across settings pages, including Account, Privacy and Notifications. WhatsApp is also developing changes to its navigation bar and chat bar.
