Allium Restores Core APIs While Investigating the Cause of Its Security Incident

Blockchain data provider Allium has reported a security breach that disrupted access to its application, Explorer APIs, and data services used by businesses across the financial and cryptocurrency sectors. The company restored its primary APIs by October 28 but continued restricting certain features during recovery. Allium has not disclosed how the attacker gained access or whether customer information was compromised. The incident does not establish that Visa, Stripe, or Coinbase suffered breaches of their own systems.
