Treasured items stolen from Munich air disaster memorial honouring 8 Man Utd legends

Thieves have stolen a glass sculpture and commemorative medals from the Munich memorial honouring the 23 victims of the 1958 air disaster, including eight Manchester United players. The incident has caused distress among victims’ families and supporters, prompting messages of support from rival clubs’ fans. Despite the damage, the Manchester-Munich bond remains strong, with calls for the stolen items to be returned.
