MLS rule saves Lionel Messi from suspension despite fifth yellow card this season

Lionel Messi will be available for Inter Miami’s crucial clash against New England Revolution despite collecting his fifth yellow card of the MLS season. The Argentine escapes an automatic suspension thanks to MLS’s Good Behaviour Incentive, which allows players to erase bookings after five consecutive matches without disciplinary action. The rule has reduced his active tally to three cautions.
