OpenAI may be exploring deeper health data integration for ChatGPT on Android through Google’s Health Connect platform. References found in the app’s code point to permissions covering physical measurements, reproductive health information and background access to health records. The findings also suggest that ChatGPT could introduce additional interfaces to explain its data access requirements. The potential integration would bring Android users closer to the health data sharing experience that iPhone users already have through Apple Health, although OpenAI has not confirmed the feature.
