The collaboration with Cathedral brings external researchers into OpenAI’s efforts to address vulnerabilities. The company is also changing its bug bounty programme, with payouts for critical reports set to rise more than four times, although revised amounts have not been disclosed. The announcement follows an earlier exercise that involved a quarter of OpenAI’s product engineers using Codex to investigate security issues. OpenAI has pledged $1 billion (roughly Rs. 9,500 crore) in subsidised access for frontline cyber defenders over six months.
