Blockchain investigator ZachXBT has increased his estimate of a suspected cryptocurrency theft involving an unnamed Western European financial institution to more than $133 million. The latest findings include an additional $27 million in withdrawals from centralised exchanges and four newly identified wallet addresses. ZachXBT suspects the institution may be concealing the incident, while alleging that at least $30 million has already been laundered through stablecoin conversions, instant exchanges and cross-chain transfers. He believes the suspected attacker is French-speaking and is unlikely to be North Korea’s Lazarus Group.
