Anthropic has introduced Message Threads in public beta on the Claude Platform. It can reduce the response latency for long-running AI agent sessions by eliminating the need to resend the entire conversation history with every API request. Anthropic says the feature is enabled by default for most Claude Code users. The company says that, with the new feature, requests containing between 500,000 and 1 million tokens have reportedly seen a median time to first token (TTFT) reduction of approximately 35 percent.
