The Hong Kong Monetary Authority has upgraded Project Ensemble to support round-the-clock real-value tokenised settlements through its EnsembleTX project. The initiative aims to facilitate international fund transfers, tokenised investments and treasury management. The regulator also plans to extend its trials to regulated stablecoins, following tests involving tokenised bonds, money market funds and bank deposits. Meanwhile, HSBC CEO Georges Elhedery revealed that its Hong Kong dollar stablecoin, RedCoin, attracted 50,000 users within 10 days of launch.
