Uma Priya, the village administrator of Pickadi near Ooty in the Nilgiris district, has been arrested on charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 1.25 lakh. In this case, the complainant approaches VAO by applying online for the lease of his settlement land. 1.25 lakhs is said to have been asked for just 3.5 cents of land, netizens are raising questions as to what kind of animal is there on that land.
