India has settled Rs. 1,025 crore worth of tokenised corporate bond transactions using the RBI’s wholesale digital rupee. The Demat 2.0 pilot connects statutory depositories’ distributed ledger systems with the RBI’s Unified Market Interface, enabling simultaneous settlement of securities and cash. REC, Larsen & Toubro, and IIFL participated in the first three deals.
