Google Photos is set to introduce a change to its bin retention policy, reducing the period for which deleted photos and videos are stored from 60 days to 30 days. The updated policy will take effect on December 5, 2026. Additionally, an APK teardown of the Google Photos app suggests that it could soon let users create calendar events from posters and flyers using Ask Photos. The feature may support Android’s default calendar app.
