Triumph Speed 400 and Tracker 400 prices cut by up to Rs 7,000

Just two months after hiking prices for all its 400 motorcycles (with a 350cc engine), Triumph has slashed prices for two of its models. This marks the company’s third price revision since June. While the Scrambler 400 X hasn’t gotten any more affordable, it is now available with a new colour option.

Triumph 400s: What has and hasn’t changed?

The Roadsters are now separated more from the others

As mentioned earlier, this is the third time Triumph has revised the prices since unveiling the 350cc line-up in April this year. Back then, the Speed 400 was priced at Rs 2.32 lakh and Tracker 400 at Rs 2.46 lakh. With July’s price changes, the entire 400 portfolio became more expensive (listed in the ‘Old price’ column below). With the current adjustment, the Speed now costs Rs 2,000 more, while the Tracker has become cheaper by Rs 4,000.

The current price change applies only to the Speed 400 and Tracker 400. The Speed’s price has been reduced by Rs 6,000, making its new ex-showroom price Rs 2.34 lakh. The Tracker’s price has been reduced by Rs 7,000, bringing its price down to Rs 2.42 lakh.

The only other motorcycle to change in any way is the Scrambler 400 X, which gains a new Matt Pewter Grey/Matt Khaki Green colour. It otherwise stays exactly the same mechanically and feature-wise, with the same ex-showroom price. With these changes, Triumph’s three roadsters are now priced closer to each other than the other formats, but that doesn’t change the hierarchy at all. The Speed T4 continues as the most affordable Triumph 400, and the Scrambler 400 XC remains the most expensive.
