OpenAI Introduces Images 2.6 With GIF Support and Faster API Models

OpenAI’s latest image generation update adds GIF creation and more editing options to ChatGPT. Users can animate uploaded photos or generate GIFs from text prompts, adjust playback speeds and edit individual frames. The update also lets them save reference images of people, pets and characters for reuse. On the developer side, OpenAI has introduced GPT-Image-2.6 Flare and Sunburst, which promise faster image generation. The API also gets image markup, SVG exports and a new complexity control for image generation.
